WHO WE ARE
Man vs Land was established in 2015, bringing together the skills and experience of three friends who love the outdoors.
Our collective backgrounds in landscaping, construction, gardening and customer service means we can offer you a unique service in landscape gardening, land management or outdoor construction.
We now service over 40 regular clients, from small residential customers to large manufacturing sites.
Born and raised in Pembrokeshire, and a keen angler, Simon has always had an interest in nature & the environment. Through his grandparents and parents, who were florists and keen gardeners, horticulture was always in his blood. In 2010, he started his own successful gardening business, after studying the RHS Practical Gardening course at the National Botanic Gardens, Carmarthenshire. Simon has worked for arborists and associated professionals and holds City & Guilds NPTC Level 2 Safe Application of Pesticides PA1 & PA6.
Olly has worked in the building industry for nearly 20 years and has recently built a number of highly sustainable homes. He also owns a 30 acre farm and has in recent years managed and developed the estate, recovering overgrown land, creating paths, erecting polytunnels and outdoor buildings and establishing a sustainable woodland. Olly holds a City & Guilds NPTC Level 2 Award in Felling and Processing Trees up to 380mm (QCF).
Alex, with a career in engineering has run his own company for over 6 years. Alex has also worked in the building industry and through living on a working farm he has developed a wide range of land management skills and is experienced in erecting garden buildings, hedge management, fencing and tree felling. Alex holds a City & Guilds NPTC Level 2 Award in Felling and Processing Trees up to 380mm (QCF).
